Updated! Unopened Oregon Thunder Egg Variety Bag

Thunder egg bags updated! Several options now available.

Oregon Variety: This variety bag showcases thunder eggs from across Oregon and will always includes four eggs from the famed Richardson Ranch's Priday beds (2 opal eggs; 2 from either pony butte, blue bed, red bed). Two additional eggs will be pulled from my stock and will include either Lucky Strike, McDermitt, Buchanan, Succor Creek, Friends or Secret Ridge beds. Photos of opened eggs are for illustrative purposes and includes eggs from the beds I have stock of. Your bag of 6 eggs will include thunder eggs ranging from 1 inch to 2 1/2 inches. If an egg from a certain bed is smaller I will include two in your bag.

3lb Richardson Ranch Bag: This bag will have only eggs from the famed Richardson Ranch's Priday beds (pony butte, blue bed, red bed). Each bag will have between 4-6 eggs depending on size.

5lb Richardson Ranch Bag: This bag will have only eggs from the famed Richardson Ranch's Priday beds (pony butte, blue bed, red bed). Each bag will have between 7-10 eggs depending on size.

Thunder eggs are nodule-like rocks, similar to a filled geode, that are formed within rhyolitic volcanic ash layers and no two are alike. Thunder eggs are the Oregon state rock and personal favorite of mine.

For an additional fee your eggs can be cut on my saw. I highly recommend having them cut by myself unless you have equipment to cut yourself. Smashing eggs rarely yields good results! Tip: If you are part of a rock/lapidary club they often have a lapidary lab available to members with lots of equipment.
